Junk Food: Do You Know What They Feed Cows?

What if I told you, that I saw a farmer take his cow to a fast food joint and order up a cheeseburger for his cow? You would say I was nuts, right? What if I told you that this farmer also fed his cows candy bars? What if I told you that this farmer even fed his cows chicken manure. You would saw I was crazy or that the farmer was.

Cows were created to eat whatever they find on the ground, like grasses, herbs, weeds, etc. This is the way they are created and what is natural for them to eat. But in captivity, in the barn, farmers can feed them whatever they can get away with and you would be shocked at what some of these farmers will do to save money on feed costs. I was raised on a farm and we fed cows silage (chopped up corn stalk - yuk!), corn meal with molasses poured on that and hay and alfalfa. Hay and alfalfa is fine, but silage, corn meal and molasses is NOT natural food for cattle.

Because farmers do not feed their cows what is natural, they get sick and the ignorant farmer then calls a veterinarian (the cow doctor) and he (or she) uses drugs and hormones to treat this poor animal with. Since when, was drugs and man made (chemical) hormones a natural substance to stick into cows. And if you think this does not adversely effect your health, when you consume meat and products from cattle such as this, you are either uninformed and just kidding yourself.

All business people should watch their bottom line and cut cost as much as possible in order to increase their profits. Anyone will agree with that, but when a person in business cuts cost to the detriment of the consumer, that is going in the wrong direction and the consumer suffers.

Now, just in case you think this has nothing to do with you, if you get food from cows like this, in the form of meat or dairy products, you are wrong. It does effect you, because it produces meat and dairy foods, that are unnatural and added to that, are all the additives and chemicals that food processors put in all processed foods.

I have even read of cases, where alfalfa was grown on land, were the farmer used sludge from sewage treatment plants as fertilizer. Then the alfalfa was fed to cows and the toxic substances, in the alfalfa, that the alfalfa got from the sludge, actually showed up in the meat and milk from those cows. All these toxic substances get into the food, that these cows produce and the consumer always suffers as a result.

There is nothing natural about eating the flesh of dead animals in the first place, let alone eating the meat from an animal that has been fed an unnatural diet, pumped full of drugs and hormones on top of that.

When any person eats food like that, they also are ingesting into their bodies whatever is in the meat. That is the reason many people are switching to cattle raised on organic farms and that are being grass fed.

But for those individuals who want to live a healthier lifestyle, then the natural way is the proper choice. http://www.gods-diet.com/
